I storyboarded the first half of this episode. I felt that I really started to draw the characters a little more appealing. Working with Amazing artists like David Gemmille, Bryan Arnett, Carey Yost, Alex Kirwin, and Bill Wray made me push myself and work harder. I hope it shows.

I recently watched one of Hayao Miyazaki's masterpieces, Porco Rosso. Not my favorite but still its a lot of fun. Here's some screen-caps.
The designs of the pirates and their airships are amazing! Check out the rubber hose cartoon in the theater scene!

Crib Notes. The second Fanboy episode I directed. Storyboarded by the one and only David Gemmill. If he had the time he would've animated his entire storyboard. He did however animate a few scenes. Which you should beg him to post on his blog! They are awesome!!!!
I had a blast on this episode in the animatic stage. Can you believe I had access to all the Hanna Barbara and Warner Bros. sound effects!!!! The whistles and bonks from Bugs Bunny cartoons in the palm of my hands!!! I was a kid in a candy store. Special thanks to my animatic editor Estella Capin for her patients.

Hey folks!
Thought I'd post my beatboard for one of my favorite Mighty B episodes from season 2 called 'It's B's Party'. The episode involves Bessie realizing she's never had a surprise party thrown on her behalf even though she's always throwing surprise parties for everyone else. Bessie's under the impression that all her friends are going to throw her one.
We really got to push the expressions on this episode. It was Storyboarded by the talented Katie Rice.

Since I'm unable to post my other beatboards for season 2 of Fanboy, I thought I'd share my storyboards for the 2011 Kids Choice Awards. Most of the Nicktoons characters starred in 16 second clips that featured them in behind the scene scenarios which were peppered throughout the show. Here's the Fanboy & Chum Chum clip

Whew! Hey everybody! I've been working away on Fanboy and we're close to wrapping up the season. A couple of months ago they aired the first batch of episodes. One of which was directed by yours truly. I'm very proud of my first Fanboy episode. The always hilarious and talented Justin Nichols storyboarded it. The plot is Fanboy and Chum Chum try to rid their house of baby toys, they use an actual baby as a Geiger counter to sniff out anything babyish and they end up with an empty house! Apparently furniture and fixtures are also baby toys.

The Mighty B Season 2

Hello Folks!! I have finally joined the blog universe.
I'm currently Directing on the super awesome show Fanboy & Chum Chum which I'd like to post about soon.

However, I'd like to take a step back and share my second beatboard for The Mighty B! since the Nicktoons channel has finally started to air season 2!!!!
About a year ago I received the opportunity to work as the Storyboard Supervisor on the B! an experience I will never forget. I learned so much and had the opportunity to work with a bunch of animation super stars such as Erik Wiese, Bill Wray, Seonna Hong, Bryan Arnett, Carey Yost & Alex Kirwan, to name a few.
Here's a teaser for "Tour D' Alcatraz" and my beatboard below for this episode.
